Registration Please read and complete all applicable forms and payments in the 1 World Bermuda “How to Register” section.
Order of Performance At least one week prior to your 1 World Bermuda Competition or Event, your Official Contact Person will receive Final Event Information including your Order of Performance by email. The Order of Performance will be on our website the Thursday before your competition so your Parents and Friends can make copies to bring to the event. Printed Order of Performance schedules will be available at the competition FOR COACHES ONLY.
Eligibility 1 World Bermuda strongly suggests that proof of age (all-stars and recreational teams) and/or proof of grade (school teams) for each participant be available at all competitions in which a squad performs in case of an eligibility challenge.
Participant Age/Grade Discrepancies Only a coach may challenge a participant’s age/grade and all challenges must be made at the event and submitted BEFORE Awards begin. It is the responsibility of the source of the accusation to complete a Protest Form at the coaches’ Score Sheet Pick-Up Table and provide specific information of any age/grade violations. The coach will be notified at the competition of the source of the accusation and be required to provide proof of age/grade to 1 World Bermuda staff prior to the awards ceremony.
Insurance Each participant must have his/her own personal insurance. The host facility, the host facility district, the directors/sponsors and/or 1 World Bermuda will not be responsible and/or held liable for any injuries occurring at any 1 World Bermuda Events or Competitions. Medical personnel will be on site at all competitions to provide assistance for emergencies only. Taping of wrists/ankles for individual performers will not be provided, unless medically necessary to treat an injury.
Coaches’ Registration at the Event Please refer to the coaches’ update that you will receive along with the competition schedule, credentials, etc. prior to the event for information regarding the 1 World Bermuda Event. Please check in at least 1 hour prior to your warm-up time.
USASF The USASF Guidelines set for all-star cheer & dance teams will be followed. School cheer/dance and recreation cheer/dance will also follow USASF rules with the exception of flooring.
Spotters Due to the complexities and intricacies of team choreography 1 World Bermuda Events will NOT provide spotters on the competition floor. All teams may elect to provide their own spotters on the competition floor.
• Routine spotters are there to help catch falls and/or mistakes, not to assist or save skills. Routine spotters may only be used for stunts, pyramids, and/or basket tosses. • Flagrant contact (anything other than assuring the safety of the athletes involved) by a routine spotter that assists a stunt, toss, or pyramid may result in a .25 deduction for each occurrence. Point deduction is at the sole discretion of 1 World Bermuda Events. • The decision of judges is FINAL. • Routine spotters MUST dress differently than the team so they are not mistaken for participants.
Coaches Only coaches with a coach’s credentials are allowed into the warm-up room. Coaches are allowed to sit in the designated areas located by the sound table. These designated areas will be clearly marked. Coaches will NOT be allowed to sit directly in front of the competition floor or in front of the judges’ table. This new policy has been put into effect to help eliminate any blocked views and judging panel distractions.
Performance Area The competition will take place on a SPRING FLOOR. All Cheer teams and Dance teams will compete on a 42’ deep X 54’ wide spring floor with carpet bonded foam mats.
Performance & Warm Up Information Each squad/team will have a scheduled warm-up time. We suggest that you arrive at least one hour prior to your practice time & check in at the coach’s registration table. Proceed to the practice area 15 minutes prior to your scheduled practice time. Warm up and competition times will be posted on the website for each event prior to the event date. An updated schedule will be posted on the website as needed before each competition. Coaches should be aware that safety is our number one priority. Therefore practicing stunts, pyramids, tosses, jumps, or tumbling is prohibited outside of these designated areas.
Music Each team must provide music recorded on a quality CD, MP3 player, or IPOD. A representative from your team is responsible for bringing the music to the sound table and pressing the play and stop buttons at proper times. Please bring a back up copy to the sound table. Routines should be choreographed to finish a few seconds under the time limit to ensure that the squad/team does not go over the time limit. Penalty points will be deducted for exceeding the time limit for routines.
Interruption of Performance
If the performance interruption is due to event equipment or facilities failure, you may begin again either at the beginning of the performance or at the point of interruption.
If the interruption is due to failure of your team’s equipment, music, supplies, or personnel, you may either continue or withdraw from the competition. Any notification or interruption on your device (call, text, voicemail alerts, etc.) will NOT be considered a technical malfunction.
1 World Bermuda officials reserve the right to stop a performance due to any injury.
If the music is stopped due to a major injury, the team will be asked to exit the floor while an EMT is attending to the injured participant(s).
The team will be allotted time to make adjustments to their routine and perform it at a later time. The time given is the up to the discretion of the Event Director(s).
Injured participants may not return to the competition floor unless the Competition Officials receive clearance from all of the following: event medical personnel AND parent/guardian AND head coach/gym owner of competing team. In the event of a suspected head injury the participant will not be allowed to return without written authorization from a licensed medical professional with training in the field of head injuries.
The routine will be re-scored from the point the injury occurred. All scores prior to the injury will remain the same.

T-shirts with gym name, logo, website, are acceptable as long as there is no reference to recruitment of athletes. • Coaches, owners, directors, etc. talking to other athletes about attending their gym.
**Recruiting of athletes/promoting gyms at any of our events can/may result in a 1.0-point deduction, removal of owners/directors/coaches, disqualifications, etc. **Teams may report any issues to event staff, but in order for us to assess a point deduction or disqualification, a member of our staff must actually witness such conduct and deem it unsportsmanlike. We cannot make a ruling based on hearsay alone. The 1 World Bermuda Events staff will not tolerate rude, angry, or disrespectful behavior. This behavior could also result in a 1.0-point deduction.
